George Augustus Obituary
George is survived by his devoted wife of 41 years, Deaconess Muriel B. Augustus; daughter, Dr. Ashley C. A. King; son, Nicholas A. Augustus; son in-law, Bobbie L. King, Jr., Esq; brother, Anthony Augustus (Kesha); sisters, Margaret Augustus-Andrews, Alfreda Phillips and Annette Augustus; sister-in-law, Gwendolyn Allen; niece, Alicia Barlow (Jay); nephews, John Augustus, Delarian Augustus, Demario Augustus, Timothy Augustus, Winston Jones, Jr. (Alyce), Anthony Augustus, Jr., William Wiggins (Dierdre); and a host of great nephews, great nieces, cousins, friends, neighbors and relatives. He was predeceased by his sister, Yvette Prowell.
A viewing will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023, from 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Perkins Funeral Home, 251 W. Queen Street, Hampton, VA 23669. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at 11:00 am, at Queen Street North Worship Center, 98 North Armistead Avenue, Hampton, VA 23669. Interment will immediately follow at Hampton Memorial Gardens, 155 Butler Farm Road, Hampton, VA 23666. Professional services have been entrusted to Perkins Funeral Home.
