Dr. Oehler served as my pastor from a young age and into adulthood. He was a kind and compassionate man who freely shared his wisdom. Sending much love to the Oehler family.

It was wonderful having George as our pastor at Westminster, and such a wonderful surprise to see him and Jaynelle again at Williamsburg Presbyterian Church when we moved to Williamsburg three years ago. Bob and I send our heartfelt love and prayers to Jaynelle, Emily, and Philip during this difficult time.

Reverend Oehler was a tremendous support to my family when my son Adam, was an infant. George went above and beyond the call of duty both during Adam's illness (coming to our home and baptizing him even though we were not members of his church at the time) and even more so after Adam passed in 2006. We have never forgotten the difference George's loving, generous and compassionate heart made in our lives during very difficult times. I know he and Adam greeted each other again in Heaven, and the thought of this brings me great comfort.

What an amazing man who along with his dear wife parented two amazing children. His time on earth was a blessing to many. My love to the Oehler family.

George was such a kind and gentle man and I enjoyed his sense of humor and his respect of other people. Our days together at Union were good memories of George's care and compassion for others. Doug Kanney, UTS, '71
