Hayden Ross-Clunis Obituary

SEAFORD - Hayden A. Ross-Clunis Jr., 70, passed away on Monday, Jan. 6, 2003. Mr. Ross-Clunis was a native of Newport News, Va., and a Seaford resident since 1964. He was a member of Yorkminster Presbyterian Church and a Navy veteran and an active member of Chesapeake Bay Foundation and Parents Organization of Southside Virginia Training Center and was active with various amateur radio groups. He was an avid sailor and radio amateur. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hayden and Elizabeth B. Ross-Clunis, and a son, Harold Lee Ross-Clunis, and is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Elisabeth C. Ross-Clunis and his children, Hayden Ross-Clunis III of Seaford, Mary Henkel and her husband, Kent, of Leesburg, Va., and Edward A. Ross-Clunis of Richmond, Va.; a sister, Gay Ross-Clunis of Williamsburg, Va.; a brother, Robert Allen Ross-Clunis, San Pedro, Calif.; four grandchildren, Jenna, Ross, Henry, and Olivia. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 10, in Yorkminster Presbyterian Church by Rev. Jenny Russell. The family will receive friends following the service. Memorials may be made to Yorkminster Presbyterian Church, 6218 George Washington Highway, Yorktown, VA 23692 or to Parents Organization of Southside Virginia Training Center c/o Bobby Tuck, 1306 Warfield Road, Richmond, VA 23229. Amory Funeral Home, Grafton, is in charge of the arrangements.
