Hazel Hade Obituary
MADISON, WI - Hazel Ingrid Hade, age 80, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 16, 2013, at Meriter Hospital in Madison, WI. She was born on Nov 9, 1932 in Rockwell City, Iowa, the daughter of the late Otto and Ethel Johnson. Ingrid attended school in Lohrville, Iowa and graduated Valedictorian of her class in May, 1951. She met her husband of 56 years, Arnold Hade, while he was working as a herdsman on her family farm in Lohrville, Iowa. Arnie and Ingrid were married in Skaraborg Lutheran Church in Rockwell City, Iowa on June 17, 1951. He and Ingrid moved to Rio, Wisconsin in 1955 and then to Madison in 1984. Ingrid was active in church and played the organ for Skaraborg Lutheran Church, and was both organist and choir director for Christ Congregational Church and Redeemer Lutheran Church in Rio, WI. Ingrid was predeceased by her husband Arnold Hade, parents, and sister-in-law, Mary Lee. She is survived by her daughter, Christine Simms, Madison, WI and son, Weston (Trisha) Hade of Hayes, VA; grandson, Aaron Hade (Beth Novak) of Corning, NY; granddaughters, Sarah Hade and Rebekah Hade of Hayes, VA, great-grandsons Brayden and Tanner Hade of Corning, NY; sisters, Elsie (Jerry) Johnson of Bell Vista, AR, Lucille (Frank) Walter and Lois (Allen) Olson of Cedar Falls, IA; and brother, Wendell Johnson of Brighman City, UT, Brothers-in-law, Everett (Joyce) Hade of Gowrie, IA; Dick (Darlene) Hade of Ames, IA; sister-in-law Evelyn (Virgil) Whitehill of Council Bluffs, IA; and special friends, James, Danny, and Bill Risgaard. It was Ingrid's wish that no formal service be conducted.
