Jason CHAVIS Obituary
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 11, 2011, at Suffolk Christian Church with the Rev. Michael D. Halley and the Rev. Matt Kidd officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at Holly Lawn Cemetery. Friends may join the family for a time of visitation Friday night from 7 to 9 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory and other times at the residence of Glenn and Lisa Branchaud.
Memorial donations may be made to Kingdom Life Ministries at P.O. Box 308, Courtland, VA 23837 and Suffolk Christian Church at P.O. Box 1457, Suffolk, VA 23439. I had the honor of serving with Sgt Chavis from 2006 to 2008. He was an unforgetable person. Chavis you are gone but not forgotton may St. Peter meet you at the pearly gate. You will be missed. "OUTLAWS. NO SLACK"!!

I had the honor of serving with Sgt Chavis from 07-08. He will be greatly missed and I am truly honored to have served with him. My heartfelt prayers go to his family. Thank you brother for all you have done.

Chavis was one of my soldier in 416th, he was explosive, a hard worker, a good friend and a better person. It was a honor and a privilidge working with him. RIP Chavis, you will always be remember. My condolences to his family!!

Both My Husband and I also had the great privilege of serving with this extraordinary individual... He will be greatly missed! I too was in his platoon and had the chance to mentor him as a younger soldier. Our thoughts and prayers are going out to the entire family.

I had the honor and privilidge to work and know SGT Chavis. My prayers go out to his wife, daughter and family. He is lost but not forgotten.

I served with SGT Chavis in 2006-2008 in 416th and in Iraq from 2007-2008. He was a great soldier and person. He will truly be mised be all.

It was my pleasure to serve with Jason while stationed at HAAF, Georgia and deploying with him from 2007-2008 to Iraq. He was an amazing guy and always brought a smile to everyone's face. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family in thier time of sorrow.

I work with jason for 2 tour in Iraq great soilder and even better freind. I could trust him with my life when it was hard to do. will be missed ever much. i know he is in a better place

I met Jason when he was on his way to Iraq in 2007. I am so sad to learn about his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

We will all miss Jason, he has touched ours lives in a very special way.
The main thing that comes to mine is when Chris played soft ball with him and Justin in there younger years. Chris thought of him and Justin both as his brothers and he will miss him very much. It is so hard for him to beleive that this has happen to one of his best friends.
