Jeffrey Ridge Obituary

HAMPTON - Jeff Ridge of Hampton, Virginia passed away unexpectedly on October 3, 2016 in Atlantic City, NJ. He was born August 12, 1951 in Detroit, MI until his family moved to Chino, CA., where Jeff spent most of his childhood. After graduating from Chino High School, Jeff went on to serve his country in the US ARMY as a Marine Engineer. Returning from Vietnam he was stationed at Fort Eustis, VA where he decided to make Hampton, VA his home. Jeff then joined the Hampton Police Department where he served the city and it's citizens for 28 years. Jeff was a member of the Hampton Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #26 and was also a member of the American Legion Post #25. Jeff was preceded in death by his parents Dorothy and George Ridge, his brother Arthur Ridge, and his beloved Callie. He is survived by his wife, Donna of 41 years, brothers Wayne (Kathy) Ridge of Aiea, Hawaii, Gregory (Shelia) of Escondido, CA and sister Regina (Vince) Burress of Riverside, CA, In-laws Mike (Chris) Desautels, Mark (Pat) Desautels, Dennis (Karen) Desautels, many nieces and nephews in California and Connecticut. Jeff will be missed by his family and friends, especially the "Friday Guys" - Freddie, Mike and Union. He will be in our hearts forever and through the circle of life live on. A private memorial will be held at a later date.
