Jerry Wayne Rhea Sr.

POQUOSON - Jerry W. Rhea, Sr., 63, passed away on Friday, March 7, 2014. A native of Hampton, he was a resident of Poquoson for 45 years. Jerry served in the Marine Corps and worked as a night auditor and security guard for the King James Hotel. He is preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Palmer Rhea; brother, Paul Rhea; sister, Dian Dail; and son-in-law, David "Squirrel" Winder. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Melinda Rhea; three sons, Dean Rhea (Kim), Danny Rhea (Dawn), Jerry Rhea, Jr., and wife Valerie; daughter, Tammy Winder; grandchildren, Kayla Rhea, Amanda Rhea, Rockey Rhea, Dillon Rhea, Dean Rhea, Jr., Nathan Rhea, Nick Rhea, Jennifer Mang, Daniel Rhea, Jr., David (Allen) Hopkins, and Melanie Winder; step-grandchildren, Sam Millner, Chom Mang, and Randy Mang; great-grandchildren, Bryan Deal, and another on the way; step-great-grandchild, Brandon Millner; two brothers, Jackie Rhea and wife Angie, Johnny Rhea and wife Ida; and a sister, Brenda Holland and husband Patrick, and a host of numerous nieces and nephews. Jerry was a loving brother, husband, father and grandfather. The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 11, from 6-8:00 PM at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home, Poquoson.
