George W. Ragsdale Jr.

George W. Ragsdale Jr. "Gone Fishin'"   MAGNA-Our loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother, George William Ragsdale Jr., 72, passed away December 18, 2002 in West Valley City, Utah. He was born March 10, 1930 in Aida, Oklahoma to George W. and Althea Hoover Ragsdale. He married Alice JoAnn Gordon July 30, 1962 in Evanston, Wyoming. George retired from the US Air Force where he served during the Korean War, and later worked as an air traffic controller. He also retired from Consolidated Freight, and was a member of the Teamsters. He always had unconditional love for his family. Survived by his wife; children, Shauna (Dan) Peay, Pat Tacy, Janet (Ralph) Handley, Vickie (Tim) Rhodes, Brenda (Phil) Euson, Irvin (Jolene) Pease, Stormy, and Dutch; sisters, DeLois Aldrich and Sara Belle (Bill) Nelson; sixteen grandchildren; and ten and a half great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Dwayne, Melvin, and Charles; and sister, Maria. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, December 21, 2002 at the Peel Funeral Home, 8525 West 2700 South, Magna, where friends may call Saturday one hour prior to services. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
