Judge Burnett Obituary

Judge "Jack" Burnett Jr., age 88, of Suches, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2023. He was born in Gainesville, Georgia on June 7, 1934 to the late Judge Burnett Sr. and the late Mary Hanes Burnett.

Judge moved to Virginia, where he and his loving wife Marie raised their family. They owned Burnetts Market in Seaford, Virginia. Once retiring in 1995, he and Marie moved to Suches, Georgia. He enjoyed fishing, carpentry work, and spending time with his family and church family.

He is survived by his children, Tom (Faye) Burnett, Judge Burnett III, Richard Burnett, Phillip Burnett, Mary Lehman, and Linda Burnett; sister Carol (Reid) Graves; 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and numerous friends and other relatives also survive.

The family will accept friends on Saturday, May 27, 2023 from 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at 11:00 AM in the cemetery of Zion Baptist Church in Suches.

Many great times going to Burnetts in Seaford , growing up . I do not think a day went by that i was not there to get something .
