Kathryn Nobles Obituary

Kathryn Humpreys Nobles passed away peacefully on January 12, 2022 after a courageous battle with COVID-19 in Fayetteville, NC. She was 71 years old. Kathy was born on August 15, 1950 in Plymouth, NC to James Frazier and Pauline Jo (Spencer) Humphreys. She graduated from Plymouth High School and began her life's work as an X-ray technician.

Kathy is survived by her mother, Pauline Humphreys; her brother, Bradley Humphreys; her former husband and father of her three children, Thomas (Jeannie) Rummel; her husband of 13 years, Victor Nobles; her three adoring children, Erik (Kelly) Rummel, Gretchen (Joseph) Allen, and Lauren (Samuel) Ritter, and Victor's children, Julie Nobles and Adam (Elizabeth) Nobles.

She will also be fondly remembered by her many grandchildren, who all affectionately referred to her as "Beach Nana" after her many years of living in Kill Devil Hills, NC.

Kathy will always be remembered for her huge heart, which she wore on her sleeve. She would often stop what she was doing to help a friend in need, and fervently defended her family. She truly loved spending time with friends and family but was just as happy watching a race or Jeopardy with Victor. Her cooking was legendary, and many of her favorite recipes will live on forever through those that were lucky enough to receive a copy.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to your local food bank in her memory.

A memorial service honoring Kathy's life will take place at a later date.
