Kenneth Kinsinger Obituary

WILLIAMSBURG - Kenneth E. (Ken) Kinsinger passed away peacefully Sept. 14, 2007, after a steady decline in health.
He was born in 1915 in Pontiac, Ill. Mr. Kinsinger grew up on the family farm and was active in the 4-H. He received a BS and later a masters degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Illinois and served on staff at Purdue University.
Mr. Kinsinger served proudly as a B-24 bomber pilot during World War II and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross. After World War II, he worked for Swift & Co. in Chicago and then the United Fruit Co. in Boston. Mr. Kinsinger moved to Williamsburg in 1975 where he established a real estate company. He was active in numerous community groups, particularly those involved with civic growth.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Adah Kinsinger, of Urbana, Ill.; and brothers, Frank Kinsinger of Williamsburg, and John Kinsinger of Las Vegas, Nev.
Survivors are his two children, Kenneth (Phyllis) Jr., Charlotte, N.C., and his daughter, Sandra Naber, Williamsburg; his longtime companion, Jayne Smith, Williamsburg; three grandsons, Eric (Denise) Kinsinger, Charlotte, N.C.; Jeffrey (Elizabeth) Kinsinger, Atlanta, Ga.; and Randolph Naber Jr., Richmond; two great-grandchildren, Courteney and Ray; and sisters, Kathryn Bayston, Flanagan, Ill.; Mary Chase, Portland, Ind.; Margaret Dell, Seminole, Fla.; and Josephine Vercler, Chenoa, Ill.; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Oct. 13, at Spring Arbor of Williamsburg, 935 Capital Landing Rd., Williamsburg.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Williamsburg Presbyterian Church, Military Ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ, or a veterans group of your choice.
