As time goes buy at our Stein mart to us coworkers that had the pleasure to work with him. We took him along with us to our new store in spirit and have his picture sitting in our break room book case. Perfect spot for he loved to read we still being up moments where he made us laugh by things he did or said. Me sylvia, Michelle, Joan, Monique, melinda, Candy, are among that last few left from the orginal crew. I always believed memories are everything and for that I'll never forget even as years go by his remarkable loving soul. Still prayers will continue to be with his family

I had some great times going to O's games and talking sports/ politics with Larry. He was a genuinely good person who will be missed by anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Larry was truly one the kindest, most gentle and most humble people I have ever met. I had the pleasure of working with Larry at Hecht's in Newport News when I was in college. When he was promoted to manager, I would only work for either my uncle or him! Larry was never overbearing or abrasive. Everyone enjoyed working in his department. He and his wife were always so sweet to me and I still appreciate that to this day. I recall Liz sharing the "love story" of how they got involved :) You couldn't put two nicer people together. Liz, my heart breaks for you and you are in my prayers during this difficult time. As part of the Hecht's/ Macy's family, you of course know that you have our love and support. Larry will be missed.

I worked across the hall from Larry when he managed Burlington Brands in early 90's and I was at Rack Room Shoes. Always had a good word and a kind smile which helped you get through your day. As organized and professional as I have ever been around in the work place. I was deeply saddened to hear of Larry's passing. Condolences to his family. He was a super person.

I had the pleasure of working with Larry at Stein Mart and found him to be a genuinely nice guy, and I'm glad to have known him. He was calm, diligent, calm, dedicated. Always positive, I've never heard him say an unkind word or saw him lose his temper. I pray that God gives peace and comfort to the family and loved ones during this time.

Liz, Libby & family:
I have especially fond memories from the year when Larry lived with us during his freshman year at UNC-Wilmington. He put up with the attention bestowed upon him (i.e., constantly being bothered) by two younger cousins. The thoughts and prayers of our part of the family are with you all.

Larry was my assistant manager at stein mart and he was not only that but a wonderful friend he always had nothing but positive to say and always tried to give a helping hand with a ready smile. All of us at stein mart have so many memories of him for we were more like family. Not one day did I come in that he didn't say " good morning" or ask how I was or how I was doing that day. I'll miss him taking naps on the breakroom table with me lol, and me dropping reeses on his desk in the morning ( which he always knew was me ) to me helping him at night to carry out his lunch bag and book :( he brought such a positive light to the store that will be missed. My heart goes out to the family and his wife Liz whom he always told me he loved and was thankful for all the time god gained a special angel and I know that in heaven Larry is not missing one sports game :)

I am so sorry to hear this news. I worked with Larry, many years ago, he was one in a million. The world has lost a good man. My sincere sympathy to his family and friends.

September 19, 2012

I first met Larry when his mother Blanche was a patient at Warwick Forrest. She was my room mate and virtually saved my life by calling the nurses when I passed out. I remember Larry coming in every morning to check on Blanche. He always said "Good Morning" to me and then went to Mom. To Libby, whom I also met at Warwick Forrest, and the Family, my deepest and sincere sympathy is offered. May God grant you peace and comfort to pass through this difficult time.
