Linda E. Aasen

DALTON, MASS. - Linda Ellen Aasen, 59, of 345 Red Barn Road, Dalton, died Saturday, March 28, at home, where she had resided since 2005.
Prior to that, she had resided in Yorktown, Va., and Newport News, Va.
She was born in Bayside, Queens, N.Y., March 30, 1949, daughter of the late Ralph and Hilde Sigle Aasen. She was a 1967 graduate of Bayside High School and graduated from State University of New York at Binghamton with a bachelor of arts degree with a major in psychology. Miss Aasen was employed as Personnel Recruiter for The Lee Group, a staffing agency, in Newport News, Va., where she worked for 15 years retiring in 2004 due to ill health. She enjoyed cooking and baking, gardening and plants, and was very fond of her dogs.
Miss Aasen is survived by a brother, Ronald C. Aasen and his wife, Sandra, of Dalton; an uncle, Robert Sigle of Coos Bay, Ore.; a stepbrother, Wayne Travers of Patterson, N.J.; and a stepsister, Diana Lucanto of Naples, Ind.
Funeral services will be at 5 p.m. Thursday, April 2, at Dery-Foley Funeral Home, with the Rev. Bryan T. Lamberton, Pastor of Berkshire First Church of the Nazarene, officiating. Calling hours will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday prior to the service at the Dery-Foley Funeral Home. Burial will be private in Ashuelot Cemetery.
