Lloyd Epps Obituary

PROVIDENCE FORGE - Lloyd Epps Jr., was called to his eternal resting place on Oct. 3, 2005. His life began on Aug. 10, 1930, as the oldest child of the late Lloyd and Hallie Epps of Williamsburg, Va. His fun-loving ways and happy go lucky spirit was a large part of his character, and the part that will be truly missed. Leaving to cherish his memory is his wife, Myrtha Epps; his sons and two daughters; grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; his brothers; and a host of other relatives and many caring friends. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Mary Thelma. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 7, in Whiting's Chapel with the Rev. Milton Hathaway officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 6700 Pocahontas Trail (In Providence Forge) by 9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution in memory of Lloyd Epps Jr. to the American Cancer Society. Professional services entrusted to the staff of Whiting's Funeral Home, Williamsburg.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I am sorry I cannot attend the services because of a prior committment. I liked talking with Mr. Epps because he always had a way of making you laugh. He will be missed by you but know that others will miss him also. God will take care of you all.

Lloyd was a very enjoyable person to be around. Always willing to help in anyway that he could. We met Lloyd when he came to drive for Interim Personnel and grew to love him as a dear friend. Certainly he will be missed in our hearts. Our sincere prayers are with you and the familiy.
