Nanette was one of my BEST friends in elementary school. I had not seen her in years until we reconnected about 2 years ago via Facebook. I was so glad we did. I will never forget those beautiful green eyes and dimples! To the family, Nanette was an angel here on earth and is now your guardian angel above. I extend my deepest condolences. Trust that God will provide you the strength needed to get you through this difficult time.

To know a child of God, is to love one. Nanette was that person. She was truly one of God's angels. She had a smile and personality that would light up the room. Physically she will be missed but mentally she will always remain in our minds and heart. We extend our love and prayers to the family for "weeping may endure for a night, but JOY cometh in the morning. Rest in Peace.

My condolences to the family. Sis. Mann was a woman of virtue. She left the most beautiful legacy behind which showed us what a model Christian of Christ is like, even when suffering through the pain and hardships. She never complained about her pain, and she always gave God the glory even as she told her story. No one can replace this jewel. I am sure that God has all 5 crowns of glory for her because she is the epitome of what Christ represents. Romans 8:18 states "consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. She no longer has to suffer, and I am sure God is taking well care of her. We, the Morning Star Baptist Church Family love you so much Sis. Mann, and we will surely miss you, but God saw fit to have you to Himself, and understandably so, you are in the best of hands. LOVE & Miss you.

To Tony & Family,

My dear sweet friend and next door neighbor, is now resting in the arms of Jesus. She now has her new glorified body and there is no more pain or suffering. I have seen her endure so much and through it all, she continued to trust in God. I always said that she was one tough cookie because she would always bounce back but this time, God knew she was tired, so He said "well done, my good and faithful servant" and He dispatched His angels to bring her home to rest with Him. Remember to always keep those precious memories of your dear loved one close to your hearts. You all are in my prayers during this most difficult time in each of your lives. I love you all and God bless each of you.

Nanette was such a caring, beautiful woman of God. I can still hear her words "wounded to win" as she smiled through it all. I am grateful to have known her. Tony and the children, know that her spirit lives on in each of you. I am praying that God will continue to comfort you. Remember, we shall see her again.

When I first met you at my cousins jeans house, you just had that beautiful glow about you,you were beaming with those green eyes.when I told her I knew the Lord, she was so happy, and said you were in my dream and that day knew you were the one for me ,30yrs. Later through sickness you never complained about your pain, you just always worried about others, but you always kept smiling through it all.you told me one time ,your getting tired of me ,and I said I do get tired ,but not of you,the Lord put us together for a reason. I love you ,I hurt, but I know for sure your with Jesus,I know your o.k Mrs. Miracle queen. Your husband Mr. King.

Tony, my heart is so heavy for you and the children. I know that Nanette will be sorely missed. Tony, through all the battles she fought you were there until her last breath. It takes an exceptional person, loving husband to give Nanette all that she humanly needed to endure. God blessed you both with each other. I remember you telling me the story of how she had a dream about you before she ever met you. She knew that you were who God had for her. God already knew who and what she needed. I know that she is smiling down at you saying job well done! No one could have done it better. Nanette knows that her legacy will live on.
To the children and grandchildren remember all the days of your life what she has taught and instilled in you so that you children as well, will live in fear and admonition of the Lord. She loved you all dearly. My heart felt condolences to you all. I love you!

My mom was my best friend. She was teaching me a lot about her Lord and Savior this past year. It was never a time were I could not call her and talk about God. I would call her from work and ask momma what does this mean and she'd explain it to me and I'd go about my day. My mom was awesome and very talented. She was strong spiritually, emotionally, and physically. She never gave up. She loved me,my brothers (Derrick, and Timothy) and her grand daughter Maki-Yah and unborn grand daughter Khloe. We will stick together as she would want us to. I miss my mom dearly and my heart is broken but I know the God she served and he needed her and I thank him for allowing her to be here with me for 39 years. She is no longer in pain and she lives in my heart always. Mom u are my light and I know you will continue to light my way until I can be with you again. I will keep use together as I know you would want from me. I'm still listening mom. Love you to the moon and back. Your loving daughter and best friend , Towanda

I still see your beautiful smile and feel your wonderful spirit and although I will miss you, I know that you will never suffer again, no more early morning dialysis' and for that I am comforted. Rest my friend, you have earned your crown. I pray that your family will find peace in knowing you are absent in body but present with the Lord where someday we all wish to be.

Missing you so much. Through all of the suffering you always had a smile. When I saw you Wednesday you laughed and said "Girl, you always know how to find me". You know that's right, home or in the hospital. We both laughed. I am so glad the last words we said was I love you. Your spirit was still high, even higher now.
I know that you are rejoicing with the angels. We know that God makes no mistakes. I heard you say that so many times. He picked the most beautiful flower that He could find to plant in His garden. My sweet sister you have gotten your reward. Mine awaits me. We will meet again on that beautiful shore. I love you!
