My sympathies to the Evenstad family for your loss. Bud was such a kind and wonderful friend of my fathers back in the Deerfield/USG days. Will never forget the ski trip to the UP and our farmhouse accommodations-what a crazy fun adventure.

I worked with Bud and John Quarstein with the Ford's Colony Travel Club history treks. Bud had a great eye for details that made the trips memorable and well organized. He and Ginny were such gracious hosts for these adventures. I especially remember the trip to Harper's Ferry and Antietam in 2000. I had never visited those sites, but we knocked it out of the park together. I will treasure my memories of our times together. "Fair winds and following seas!"

Bud Evenstad was actively involved in Ford´s Colony as a leader (Travel Club), an athlete (Tennis/Golf) Silver Sneakers, and as a "good neighbor", friend and often host of Ford´s Colony neighborhood events. He "made a difference" by quietly finding solutions.
As a friend and neighbor I salute Bud for his many contributions to life here in Ford´s Colony, Williamsburg, VA.

I had the privilege of working with Mr Evenstad as his home health nurse and was always impressed by his gracious and gentlemanly demeanor. I am grateful for having met such a lovely man and was honored to have had him as a patient.

I REMEBER BUD AND JINNY FROM FORDS COLONY IN WILLIAMSBURG WHEN BUD WAS THE CHIEF AND I WAS AN OFFICER AT THE POLLS. HE WAS A GREAT PERSON TO WORK WITH. MAY HE REST IN PEACE. ELLEN

Bud will be sorely missed. The many friends at Ford's Colony have missed the company of Bud and Ginny since their move.

We have many fond memories including staying till the end at the yearly Super Bowl parties, the travel club trips and being a guest many times to Bud´s cooking including special pizza and lobster Thermidor. He certainly took over where Jinny left off in the kitchen. Both were great cooks and great people. We will miss him.

We knew Bud and Ginny for years. Have their cookbook they gave their friends. Enjoyed many parties at their home. A great couple. Pat Harabedian

As a friend/neighbor in Fords Colony, I fondly remember some of the BEST `super bowl´ parties that Bud and Ginny hosted at their home. Much fun and laughter!
