Philip Wrenn Obituary

YORKTOWN - Philip Wrenn, 92, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2008.
Philip was a native of Weyers Cave, Va., and a Peninsula resident for 50 years. He graduated from Weyers Cave High School, and Dunsmore Business School in Staunton, Va. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII, and retired from the Civil Service.
Philip is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Helen Wrenn; a daughter, Nancy W. Beaton and her husband, Jeb, of Yorktown; a son, Philip M. Wrenn and his wife, Lori, of Smithfield; and a sister, Mary Susan McDonald of Delaware. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Joseph C. Wrenn of Raleigh, N.C., Jennifer Lefever of Williamsburg, Joyce E. Taylor of Raleigh, and Bradley Harris of Chicago, Ill.; and one great-granddaughter, Madeline Lefever.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 13, at St. Pauls Cemetery in Weyers Cave, Va. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 12, in Amory Funeral Home, Grafton.
