Phillip Rollo Obituary

NEWPORT NEWS - Phillip Anthony Rollo, 52, passed away March 14, 2013 at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News. Phil was a lifelong resident of the Peninsula and graduated from Tabb High School. Phil worked as a Master Plumber in new and existing construction throughout the region. Phil's mother, Sally Rollo, preceded him in death. He is survived by his son, Phillip George Rollo, of Yorktown; his father, George Rollo, of Newport News; his sister and brother-in-law, Shelly and Bill Roman, of Sterling; and his nephews, Jake and Erik Shilling, of Baltimore, MD. Phil had a lifelong love of the water, rock and roll music, scary movies and telling wildly exaggerated, funny stories. Phil loved drinking Pepsi and it will take his family some time to make it through his supply of soda. Phil's family will forever miss hearing his tall tales. A memorial service and reception will be held on April 20 from 2-4pm at St. Luke's United Methodist Church 300 Ella Taylor Rd Yorktown, VA 23692. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Phil's memory to the new building fund at St Luke's United Methodist Church.

So long to an old friend. Lot of great memories and miles cruising around in his Nova and Trans Am during high school. Although it's been many years I've fondly thought of you often.

I'll never forget the day when Phil went from a 6 cylinder green Nova to a 400 Ram-Air silver Trans Am. Had a lot of good times. I hope you are in God's hands.

I didn't know Phillip but knew his Parents. I worked with his dad George at Newport News Amusement Co. In the late fifties. Sounds like Phillip took after his Dad . I want to extend my condolences to the entire Rollo Family.
