Robert DAVIS Obituary
Robert was born in Sumter, S.C., on Sept. 15, 1945. He was a member of St. Paul A.M.E. Church for many years. Robert retired from Northrop Grumman (Newport News Shipbuilding) in August 2006 after 40 years of service.
He leaves to cherish his memory, a devoted wife of 48 years, Shirley Davis; a son, Andre Davis; two daughters, Sheila Hudgins (Isaac) and Melissa Davis (Matthew); two granddaughters, Shantel and Marissa; his mother, Annie Davis; three sisters, Annie Louise Lipkins (Leon), Eartha C. Perry and Lillian Peterson; brothers, Leroy Davis (Gwen) and Walter Davis; other relatives and friends.
A celebration of his life will be held 11a.m. Monday, May 16, 2011, at O. H. Smith & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Hampton Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be Sunday at the funeral home from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
