When my dad passed away, Rob looked out for me as one of his own. He and my dad weren't just neighbors, but great friends and were bonded by their love of Harley's and fixing things. I only hope, Barb, I can be there for you now as you and Rob were there for me ... I love you and look forward to seeing you very soon. I can hear both my daddy and Rob holding up their drinks, laughing and saying "It's 5 o'clock somewhere". You're in my heart, Barb. Please call anytime.

All my love,
Ellen Johnson Price

I work with the wounded, ill and injured soldiers who are provided services in the Soldier and Family Assistance Center(SFAC)at Fort Eustis. Rob and Joe were the first two members of the American Legion Riders group I met. From the onset we became friends due to his commitment to and respect of soldiers and the improvement of their quality of life. He earned the respect and gratitude of our wounded warriors by his generous and humble spirit. He was instrumental in raising several thousand dollars to assist those warriors in need especially during the Christmas Season. It is with a heavy heart that I provide these words as he was my friend and a true Southern gentleman. May God hold Barb, his children and other family members in his healing arms.

20 years ago, Rob was the successful business owner of Gloucester Scale Hobbies. Many of us shared great and fun memories with Rob. Rob sold this business which thrived under another name until 2008. From this business, a group of slot car racers still compete today as a family in memory of Rob L. Thein and Dennis Henry Jamerson, Sr. both of whom we lost this week. Thank you Rob, for touching so many lives.
