Stanley Wright Knowlton

SMITHFIELD - Stanley Wright Knowlton, age 81, of 306 Clipper Creek Ln., died Saturday, May 11, 2002. Mr. Knowlton, a native of White Plains, New York, retired in 1983 from Unocal Corp, as sales manager with 35 years of service. He was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, Delta Upsilon Fraternity, Masonic Lodge of Marietta, Ohio, The Scottish Rite of Canton, Ohio, and Khedive's Temple of Virginia Beach. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served in World War II. Survivors include wife, Georgine Smith Knowlton; daughter, Jane K. Manda of Palatine, Ill.; two sons, Donald Parker Knowlton of Brecksville, Ohio, Mark Baird Knowlton of Tallahassee, Fla.; sister, Eloise K. Handy of Tucson, Arizona; seven grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. today, Monday, May 13, in Christ Episcopal Church with Father Ted Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Marietta, Ohio.
