Dear Ramdasbappa, Dev/Mangala, Avinu/Maya and family,
Although I knew her from childhood in India, Alpachi is one person who left an indelible mark in my mind in USA right from the very beginning. The secret? Face it with a smile, she said, come what may. That was her message and that is what she lived for...can endure and will be better with time. May the Almighty give you all the strength and peace to endure her passing. She will be truly missed.

We are very saddened to hear of this news. I remember Mrs. Prabhu being one of the most upbeat, cheerful, and happy people I've known at Hampton. I remember her spicy "buggies" and how many times I've had the pleasure of eating at the Prabhus, and spending time in the company of the 1982 ODU cohorts. We will surely miss her megawatt smile and sense of humor. Our deepest sympathies to Ramadas, Dev, and Arvind.

Maayi was an amazing person - an exemplary mother, wife, sister, aunt and friend. After hearing all of the stories about her wonderfully lived life, I think we can all incorporate what he have learned from maayi into our own lives - to love our family and friends wholeheartedly and live every moment to its fullest. Maayi will be deeply missed - but the love and affection she has showered upon all of us will be passed on for generations to come.

May her soul rest in peace.

Dear Prabhu,

We miss her physical presence around us. Her spirit is deeply within us-I don't think anybody can forget her beautiful smile. Every time I make "Water Dosa", how can I not remember her? No one else (other than Sumitra) in my life used the cue word "Annapoorna" to solve a puzzle problem while playing an IQ game. Sumitra, let your guiding spirit be with US.
