I will always remember Uncle Gordon as my most handsome uncle, always dressed impeccably, always smiling. He was a kind and gentle man. I never heard him say a negative word about anyone. I will miss him greatly.

Dear Tom and Harriet,
I continue to pray for you and your familes. Pa was the best! He will always be my other "dad". He was so good to me through all of the years. I still have the family dining table and chairs he refinished. I remember sitting with him in the garage many nights after supper while he worked on it. I think of him often when I use it and it brings me much joy. He never stopped loving me nor I him.
Harriet, I will always remember your kindness in allowing me to spend time with him this past spring in the nursing home. It was time I will treasure until I see him again in heaven.
Pop-Pop was the most wonderful grandfather my sons, Nicholas and Matthew could have had. The love they shared will live on forever. He and Nana (Dottie-Bell) gave them unmeasurable, unconditional love. After all, that's what grandparents are for. The memories we have from when the boys were little will last forever. The magic of Christmas, the fun at birthdays and the daily hugs and kisses they shared helped them grow into the honorable young men they are today.
I know Pa is dancing with the angels in the presence of our Lord, Jesus Christ. He is resting in peace after a job well done.
I'll love him always and forget him never.
My love and prayers,
Bernadette Pittman Campbell

To the Family: Our sincere condolences to you all. Your dad worked w/my husband for years in N.N., and I remember your parents kindly urging him to take our children to view their Christmas decorations, which were outstanding.

We both fondly remember them and will miss them.
Love, Madeline and Pat Malarkey, Williamsburg

Dear Harriet and family, I send to you my love and prayers in the loss of your father. I remember the happier times when all would come into Andy's and we would talk and joke. Mr. Campbell was always a joy and would always make me laugh. He will sorely be missed and remembered by me. My prayers are with you all. Love, Jan

Dear Tommy and Harriet,
I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Both Dottie Bell and Gordon were special to me - especially when I was younger. I have fond memories of spending time at their house. I will never forget the beautiful porch! You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Tommy and Harriet, Uncle Gordon was one of the finest of that wonderful generation. He was all that any of us wanted to be. His kindness and gentleness shows in both of you...what a tribute and honor he has bestowed onto you as his children. Take the banner and go with it. You will bask in his glow all your lives until you pass it on to your children. What a responsibility. How lucky you are. Our love to you and your children. Love, Liz and Durward.

Dear Harriet and Tommy,
You are in our prayers as you grieve the loss of your Dad. Only Mama and Aunt Myrtle are left of that Anderson generation.

I have very many fond memories of Uncle Gordon as a child. I was glad to reconnect with him at Susan's 40th birthday party and last year at Susan's house with Mama.

Susan, Seth, Steven and I will always appreciate Uncle Gordon and Aunt Dottie Bell's kindness to us -- staying at their house, being able to see "up close" the Christmas decorating on that porch that connected the house to the garage, the gifts, the hugs and kisses, and Aunt Dottie Bell's haircuts.

Harriet and Tommy,
I was probably 7-8 years old before I realized that your parents were not my Aunt and Uncle, they and my parents were so close and it just seemed natural. I will always have fond memories of both of them. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy on your loss, sorry that I did not know of your Mom's passing. The last time I saw either of them was April, 96 at my Dad's funeral.
