Thomas T. TRUNKES

RENO, Nev. - Thomas T. "Tim" Trunkes, 56, of Reno, Nev., passed away on Aug. 9, 2010. Born in Naples, Italy, on June 14, 1954, Tim spent the first 20 years of his life as an "Army Brat", moving around the U.S. and Germany with his family. He attended York High School from 1970-1971, graduating from Heidelberg American H.S. in Germany in 1972. A two-year hitch in the U.S. Army took him back to Heidelberg. By then, the wandering spirit was in his soul. His adventures included traveling with Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey Circus as a roustabout, working on oil wells and in casinos out West, and camping across the country with his canine pal of the moment.
Tim was preceded in death by his father, LTC (Ret.) "Mickey" Trunkes; uncle, Tom Trunkes; and aunt Eileen Trunkes.
He is survived by his devoted mother, Helen Trunkes of Seaford; sister, Trish Davis and her husband, Dave, of Gloucester; nephew, Michael Davis of Grafton; many loving relatives and friends; and his faithful dog "Spreckles." Special thanks to Tim's Reno circle of friends, especially Amy and Susan, for welcoming him into their lives.
Your earthly journey is ended, Tim. Rest well now in the hands of our Lord.
Tim's family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2010, at Amory Funeral Home, Grafton.
