Tyler Stanley Obituary

Tyler Sherman Stanley, 27, was born into everlasting life on August 14, 2023. Tyler passed away from natural causes, cardiac arrest, surrounded by his loving family. Left to cherish his memory is his role model and father, Stacy Stanley, and his hero and mother, Karen Schurott. His greatest joy was sharing time with his family: Laura Hall and their beautiful daughter, "Baby Girl", Skylar Stanley. Tyler was a very accomplished young man with numerous recognitions, yet his proudest accomplishment was being Skylar's dad. Tyler was born on October 6, 1995, at Mary Immaculate Hospital in Newport News. He grew up in Colony Pines and Oyster Point Cove, excelling academically at Orcutt, Denbigh Baptist Christian School, and Thomas Nelson Community College. Childhood hobbies he shared with family were fishing, hunting, sports, martial arts, music, skating boarding, skiing/snowboarding, working out at the gym, an occasional half marathon, playing guitar and video games. Tyler was an accomplished Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Technician, following in the footsteps of his beloved uncle and cousins. He always strove for excellence, which was evidenced in receiving his Master's Certification in heating, plumbing, air conditioning, gas, and pipe fitting. Tyler will always be loved and missed by his stepfather, aunts and uncles, cousin, work colleagues, and friends. Welcoming Tyler into heaven are his paternal grandparents, Herman and Evelyn Stanley, and maternal grandparents, John and Carol Simone, Sr. Tyler was a gentleman and a friend to everyone. His cheerful disposition, likable personality, and beautiful smile brought joy to all. A deep thinker, he was driven to be the best version of himself and would wish all his friends and family to do the same. Remember him in your thoughts and know he would want you to never miss an opportunity to say, "I love you." We love you, Tyler. We will miss you, we know heaven rejoices on your arrival. You will live forever in our hearts. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, 2551 North Armistead Avenue Hampton, VA 23666. A celebration of life service will follow at 2:00 PM at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home.
