I first met Mr.Parker at his Maxine's Restaurant on 19th Street and Jefferson Avenue. The food he served up, especially the hamburger and hot dog boats, were a Godsend. You could feed your entire family in a friendly, clean enviroment for a very reasonable price. Then came Chic A Sea.:)Talk about some good chicken, seafood, and sides...it was and is the best around. The ice cream custard sealed the deal. Thank you Mr.Parker for the caring, God fearing way you kept a community afloat. There is no doubt in my mind that Heaven is filled with the aroma of you preparing and feeding everyone there. My prayers are with the family and to God be the glory. Blessings,

To Waddell's family,
Waddell was one of the nicest gentlemen. My husband and I met him many years ago at Dr. Wiatt's office, and whatever pet I brought in, Waddell would take the carrier to and from my car and make sure my pet was safe and secure, with his gentle care.
We would see Waddell in the neighborhood at the grocery stores or shopping center, and he always greeted us as if he were an old friend. I have missed seeing him. Now may he join the many animals in heaven he gave his tender care to, and rest in peace. My sincere condolences to his family.

My mother Saint Viola Carey the founder of the Seven Seals Singers of Newport News Virginia and I, James I Hicks became good friends with Brother Wadell Parker many years ago. He used to take our group to sing on many Gospel concerts. He was our chauffer when the Seven Seals Singers shared the stage with Clara Ward, Mother Gertrude Ward and the Clara Ward Singers and the Gospel Clefs. He used to promote and MC many big Gospel concerts. We will miss him. We expect to see him one day around the throne of God. May the love and comfort of the Lord Jesus Christ be with the Parker family. Dr. James I Hicks.

My deepest sympathy to the family of a wonderful human being.
Mr. Parker was a model of a God-fearing man who inspired me in 1989 when I came to Carmine Foods.
We know beyond doubt that he is now looking at the face of God.
