Kenny and family, I was so saddened to hear of Mrs. Allison's passing. She was a lovely lady and was so kind to me and Fred when we lived at Mallory Apartments back in the day. Fred, of course, held many fond memories of her and your whole family during his lifetime. I will keep you all in my prayers and may God bless each and every one of you.

I am very sorry for your loss. I looked through some of the pictures, and I can tell that she was one of the most loving mothers and grandmothers there are. She had a very warm smile that reminds me of my grandmother who passed away a few years ago. That time was very difficult, as I suspect it is for you all as well, but me and my family were able to take comfort from God's loving promise that "He will swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces..." I truly look forward to the time when this will come to be and I hope you all can take comfort from it as well.

Thank you for the pictures that you posted. I graduated high school with Willa Dean and those pictures brought back a lot of good memories. Willa Dean was liked by everyone. Lois Henley Surratt and Walton Quesinberry send their condolences, also. They both went to school with Willa Dean in Sylvatus and Hillsville. The pictures left me thinking that Willa Dean had a very happy and fulfilling life.

Absent from the body...present with the Lord! I was blessed to have a Mother who dedicated her life to her husband and her children. Her love and devotion and faith taught me so many things. She took us to church and taught us about God and especially Faith. She had a necklace of a mustard seed and she told me if we had faith like a mustard seed that is all you need. I have never forgotten that. She allowed us to make our own decisions and mistakes and always loved us through it all!! I know where you are,and I will see you again someday! Love You Momma!! =)

She was the only one that I could truly tell how I felt. She brightened up even my darkest days. I will always remember your funny stories that you would tell me over and over again and I would listen like if you were telling it for the first time. I will always remember and you will stay in my heart forever. I know you are in heaven and you are in no more pain. Rest easy Granny I love you and I will see you again someday.

A Poem For Granny

She always delighted by singing
Bringing happiness and love
We will never forget her
But we all knew she was as pure as a dove
I know that in above she is there now watching and listening
with God almighty we will never forget the love she brought
She will always be in our heart
That will never break apart

Her laugh was contagious. Her generosity was unparalleled. Her mind was keen and sharp. She was my Granny. The kind of Granny who made sure there was fudge for me at every family gathering. Who never missed singing to me on my birthday. Who gave me back rubs when I got out of the shower when I was little. Who came to all my soccer games, or watched from the car when she was too sick. Who shared the same stories with me ten times, but somehow made them funnier each time. Who reminded me how faithful and true God was and is and will be. Granny was more than a typical grandma. She was a confidante, listener, advice giver, and day brightener. She was a best friend, who made you feel like the most important person in the world when you spent time with her, and made it nearly impossible for you to get yourself to leave. I wish I could have one more conversation with her on Earth, but I know I will see her with angel wings in heaven and share stories with her then.
I love you, Granny.
