Marion Knighting Obituary
Marion Virginia Knighting, 85, of Banco, passed away on Monday, January 3, 2022, in the Dogwood Village of Orange. Born on October 14, 1936, in Madison, she was the daughter of the late James Howard Lloyd and Elsie Jane Broyles Lloyd. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Homer Casper Knighting and a sister, Lula C. Corbin.
She is survived by four sons, Gregory H. Knighting and friend, Denise, Jeffrey S. Knighting and wife, Judy, Donald S. Knighting and wife, Carol, and Joseph A. Knighting and wife, Connie; one brother, James D. Lloyd; two sisters, Barbara L. Corbin and Debbie E. Jenkins; and a granddaughter, Stacey D. Gough and husband, Jayson.
A funeral service was held 11 a.m. Thursday, January 6, 2022, at Preddy Funeral Home conducted by Pastors Bill Dennis and Archie Seale. The family received friends one hour before the service on Thursday from 10 until 11 a.m. at the funeral Home. Interment was held at Criglersville Cemetery.
