Glenda Ruth Lee Duncan

April 26, 1943 - May 2, 2025

Glenda Ruth Lee Duncan, 82, of Gordonsville, Virginia, passed into Heaven peacefully on Friday, May 2, 2025, after a battle with pancreatic cancer. Born on April 26, 1943, in Johnston County, North Carolina, she was the daughter of Paul Wilton Lee and Iola Rivers Stanley Lee. Glenda is survived by her loving family, including her husband Ernest; sons, Jeff (Cheryl), Todd (Grace), and Doug (Hope); grandchildren, Derek, Tyler (Alisha), Dylan, Madison, Alex, and Jade; sisters, Carol (Hal) and Melissa (Alan). She was Aunt Glenda to many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and one son, Christopher.

Glenda was a humble, caring, compassionate woman known for her kindness and love for others. She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, Mother, Nana, Aunt, and friend to everyone. Her life was dedicated to encouraging and uplifting family, friends, and strangers. Glenda enjoyed drawing, reading, playing word games, participating in the Garden Club, helping folks in need, sharing laughter, and ensuring everyone knew they were loved and cherished. Enjoying time with her family brought Glenda great joy. Her hugs and smiles brought peace and comfort.

Her love for children was shown through her work at Gordon-Barbour Elementary School and the Breakfast Buddy program. She enjoyed volunteering and helping in the community at places like the nursing home.

During her life, Glenda owned a kitchen shop named Serendipity and worked for C&P Telephone Company and AT&T as a telephone operator, the Gordonsville Cable Company, the Leggett department store, and other places. She was a model employee with glowing remarks from everyone she encountered.

Glenda cared for Daddy, Mama, and Melissa as they journeyed through their cancer battles. Always making sure each one received a special milkshake treat after the doctor's visit.

Glenda always provided a listening ear, a shoulder to cry on, and many words of wisdom. She will be remembered as a woman of faith and a light shining the love of God to the world.
