Adam Seelye Obituary
On Saturday, May 8, 2021, Adam Seelye, loving son and brother, passed away in Prague, Czech Republic, at the age of 28.
Adam was born on June 1, 1992, in Durham, N.C. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from James Madison University in 2014. His fun and adventurous spirit took him to Prague where he worked as an IT Specialist at McKinsey & Company. He continued to travel the world visiting countries such as Italy, Indonesia and Ireland, to name a few. He loved the outdoors and spent much of his time hiking and camping. Adam never knew a stranger and had an infectious charm that brought a smile to everyone around him. He was a devoted uncle to two nephews that he adored and was happiest when surrounded by his friends and family.
He is survived by his parents, Randy and Margaret Seelye; his sister, Erinne Puvogel and her husband, Stephen; his sister, Meghan Rogers and her husband, Branford; and two nephews, Stephen and Harrison.
A memorial service will be held to honor Adam's life at the Pole Barn at Pleasant Grove Park, 271 Pleasant Grove Dr., Palmyra, Va., Sunday, May 23, 2021, at 2 p.m. Donations can be made in his name to the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank.

Dear Seelye family, Adam was part of my support team at mckinsey/Quantumblack, and was a very cheerful, calm and super cool character and I remember one of his many replies to me when communicating with him was SURE! or COPY That. He always brought an opinion or valid point to the table and had enough courage to ask anyone a question at any level, I remember him once saying to me I hope I didn´t ask to many questions to our Chief Technology Officer when the team was being introduce to him.
That was Adam, someone who took pride in his work, a considerate individual and wanted to get things right so he would double check and was not afraid to ask a question if he didn´t understand something.
I know he loved being around his family and especially throughout this pandemic situation he was keen to visit you all especially around Christmas gone and I can tell he was a key integral part of a loving family who also loved having him around.
I/we send our sincere condolences to you all and I´m praying for your comfort at this time for your great loss as we grieve also at the loss of a great colleague and friend who has left this earth way to early.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Adam's passing. He worked with our IT team at QuantumBlack (at McKinsey) for over a year, and I'm so sorry that because of the pandemic, I didn't get to meet this bright and affable young man in person.
