Arnold E. Fox

Arnold E. Fox, 73, of Troy, Va, passed away on Friday, January 21, 2022. He was born in Charlottesville, Va., to the late Bradley and Elsie Fox. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Alvin Lee Fox and James "Dukie" Fox.

Arnold was employed by A. G. Dillard Inc. for 20 years and then went on to own and operate A. E. Fox Paving since 1990. He was a big hunter with his son, Scott, and enjoyed racing his Chevy II Bossy Nova and 86 Camaro. Arnold lived each day to the fullest and enjoyed having fun with his friends and family to include his "Papa's Juice". You've never met a more honest, devoted and hardworking man.

He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Fox; two children, Scott Fox and his wife, Cassie, and Tonya Gentry and her husband, Shannon; stepsons, Stephen, Jeremy (Kristen) and Tyler Brown (Jordann); grandchildren, Scott Fox Jr. (Kaitlyn), Travis Allen, Kiersten Sandridge, Bradley Fox, Gavin Fox, and Makayla Gentry; great-grandchildren, McKenzee and Ryker Fox and Baylor Lyn Sandridge; brother-in-law, Durwin Corbin (Stephanie); and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at the Hill and Wood Funeral Home in Charlottesville.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at Holly Memorial Gardens in the Garden of Everlasting Life in Charlottesville.

Following graveside service, friends are welcome to join the family at Barboursville Fire Department in Barboursville, Va.

I've known this man pretty much all my life and man did we have some really good times. Was even better when he and Duke were together. Thank you for being a part of my life .
