Barbara Jean Estes Reyer Barbara Jean Estes Reyer, 83, died peacefully at her home on Wednesday, August 14, 2013, surrounded by her family. She was raised with her sister and two brothers on the Estes family farm near Pratts. A lifelong member of Rochelle Christian Church, founded in 1859 by her great-grandfather, Benjamin Creel, Barbara dedicated her life to serving others. She enjoyed membership with Dusty in the Order of the Eastern Star Culpeper Chapter. She was also a member of the Colonial Dames XVII Century, House of Burgesses Chapter, where she served a term as president. She was predeceased also by her parents, Georgia Herndon and John Creel Estes; by her brothers, John C. Estes Jr. and Shirley R. Estes; and by her sister, Elinor Estes Judd. She is survived by her daughter, Edith McHenry, her husband, Henry D. McHenry Jr., and their children, Dustin and Laura of Charlottesville; son, Kevin Reyer, his wife, Amy Louise Carswell Reyer, and their children, Matthew and Mason of Roanoke; and daughter, Karla McGhee, her husband, Garry McGhee, and their son, Ben, of Madison, and their daughter, Jaime and her husband, David McMahon, of Ruckersville. Barbara is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Evaleigh Estes and Betty Estes; and brother-in-law, James L. Judd; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. A graveside service for family and friends will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, August 17, 2013, at Rochelle Christian Church, Rochelle, Virginia, followed by a reception in the social hall. A celebration of Barbara's life is planned for later this month. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Rochelle Christian Church Cemetery Fund, P.O.
