Tom and I are so sorry to hear of the passing of Carolyn, our former neighbor. We enjoyed many good times with both Carolyn and Stan over many years. Carolyn always had a smile and was genuinely interested in keeping up with our family, as well as the entire neighborhood on Lambs Road and Ipswich place. Carolyn loved her daughters and her "grands", too. We send our love and sympathy to you both, Jennifer and Beth.

I was fortunate to have met Carolyn through her daughter Beth. What a gift that has been for 23 years. I found Carolyn as one of the classiest, thoughtful, upbeat and delightful friends I have had in Charlottesville. One of many memories: After spending a memorable and fun week at the beach with her, her family and other friends of hers, she said to Deborah and me, with tears, how grateful she was to have us friends to her and her family. My heart is still so touched today. She leaves a family I truly admire and respect as part of our greater community.

I am heartbroken about Carolyn’s death. We became good friends in the Apple class at the Center. She was the dearest friend, always sending me thank you notes after we had been together for something. I am having a hard time thinking that Carolyn is gone.. We both have been so excited about our granddaughter’s getting married on the same day, October 7, 2023. We even shared pictures of our outfits for the wedding. Our outfits, (both of us have pink, outfits) that we plan to wear to the weddings. Carolyn’s pink dress is beautiful. I have tears in my eyes as I write this thinking about sweet Carolyn, I want the family to know that Carolyn will be missed. She was a shining light at the Center of Belvedere and in our Apple class. I am deeply sorry about Carolyn’s death.

My sincere condolences to Carolyn's family. I always enjoyed playing against Carolyn at Bridge. Her brilliant smile and sparkling eyes brightened up the room. We'll certainly miss her at The Center's Monday afternoon bridge game. Rest in Peace, Carolyn.
