Christopher Bennett Jones Christopher Bennett Jones, 52, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 5, 2014, after a short battle with cancer, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born February 24, 1962, in Charlottesville, Virginia, to Sarah Colvin Jones and the late Robert Manley Jones. After growing up in Orange, Virginia, and attending Orange County High School, he attended North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina, and graduated with a degree in Applied Agriculture. Chris was owner-operator of Don Murray's Barbeque in Raleigh, North Carolina. He worked for PFS Sales Company in Raleigh, North Carolina, for 18 years where he was the top salesman for the company. Chris was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed Horse Racing, NASCAR and Football, especially his Alma matter North Carolina State. While Chris enjoyed spending time with family and friends of all the things he loved, his family was the most precious to him. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Necole Stokes Jones of Raleigh, North Carolina; his daughter, Logan Necole Jones (his pride and joy) of Raleigh, North Carolina; his mother, Sarah Colvin Jones of Orange, Virginia; two sisters, Lynn Jones Rogers and husband, Johnny, of Orange, Virginia, and Lori Jones Doss and husband, Kevin, of Winston Salem, North Carolina; brother, Robert Manley Jones Jr. and Kimberly of Ferncliff, Virginia; very special aunt, Marjorie Colvin Reid; as well as many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by mother-in-law, Janice Gayle Stokes "Dipsy" of Selma, North Carolina; father-in-law, Howard Hunter Stokes and Eleanor of Raleigh, North Carolina; brother-in-law, Howard Hunter Stokes Jr. and Lynn Faye of Fuquary Varina, North Carolina. A service to celebrate Chris's life will be held 2 p.m. on Friday, July 11, 2014, at Caraleigh Baptist Church, 1400 Green St., Raleigh, NC 27603.
