With deep love, we announce the peaceful transition of Terence André Jones, of Richmond, Va., on Friday, February 6, 2026. Though no formal funeral or memorial service will be held, a "Celebration of Life" will be shared with family and friends at a later date.

Terence entered this world, May 20, 1966, to parents, Virginia J. Jones and John W. Jones, Jr.

His educational journey began at Whitcomb Court Elementary School, continued through Mosby Middle School and later Marshall-Walker High School. Terence attended North Carolina A&T State University, where he earned his B.S. Degree in Professional Mathematics, M.S. Degree in Math Education and M.S. Degree in Applied Mathematics.

Terence served as a Professor of Mathematics at Norfolk State University for 20 years. Later he continued his teaching career at Columbia High School in Decatur, Ga.

Terence was preceded in death by his father, John W. Jones, Jr.; brother, John W. Jones III; grandparents, John W. Sr. and Geneva Jones, Walter W. and Janie Jackson.

Terence leaves to cherish and celebrate his life his mother, Virginia J. Jones; sisters, Johnilyn J. Doswell and Teri M. Jones; aunts, Helen J. King and Cheryl J. Williams (Earl); uncle, Walter R. Jackson; two nephews; four nieces, 13 great nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Renee C. Jones; other relatives and friends.
