Corey Chambers Obituary
He was born January 24, 1977, to the Rev. Joe N. Chambers and Katie Chambers in Charlottesville, Virginia.
He confessed to Christ as his personal Savior at an early age and joined Ridgeway Baptist Church in Scottsville, Virginia and later expressed a desire to move his membership to Ebenezer Baptist Church in Dillwyn, Virginia.
Corey received his education from the Buckingham County Public School System. He worked with father in the logging business.
He was very loving and compassionate, with a pleasant personality and always with a radiant smile. He will be greatly missed by his many, many family and friends.
Corey was preceded in death by a brother, Vinton "Bennie" Chambers and leaves to cherish his memories his parents, the Rev. Joe N. and Katie L. Chambers of Dillwyn, Virginia; a son, Devin; two daughters, Tiana and Autumn; two brothers, Elton and Vincent of Dillwyn; a sister-in-law, Kimberly; a grandmother, Mildred Odessa Chambers; five aunts, the Rev. Rosetta Gough, Janice Booker, Lillie Ann Booker and Linda Booker, all of Dillwyn and Goldie Singleton of Washington, D.C.; four uncles, Edward Gough, Richard Booker, Adam Singleton and Ralph Turner; two nephews, Orlando Haskins and Antonio Briggs; and five nieces, Shaneka Haskins, Sierra Bartee, Tyshell, Tyshera and Tyshea Chambers all of Dillwyn; and a host of great aunts, great uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, April 30, 2006 at the Buckingham County Middle School, Buckingham, Virginia with the Rev. Ernest Kitt officiating.
The family will receive friends in the Buckingham County Middle School Cafeteria following interment.
Professional services entrusted to Reid's Funeral Home, Dillwyn, Virginia.
