Curtis Louise Obituary

Ellie "Louise" Curtis, 82, of Ruckersville, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on May 12, 2018. She was born on December 30, 1935, to the late Emily Farmer and Cue Rhodes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Scott Curtis; and sister, Helen Easterling. A Charlottesville native, Louise graduated from Lane High School. She worked as a machinist for the government for many years. She was an avid reader and was known to play a game of BINGO or two back in the day and win! She was a loving wife, mother, and sister and will be missed by all. She is survived by her children, Gregory Payne and wife, Joanne of Richmond, Va., Vickie Esposito and husband, Lou of Port St. Lucie, Fla., and Angela Carle of Ruckersville, Va.; step-children, Robert Curtis and Rebecca Pennington; sisters, Linda McCauley and Gloria Farmer and husband, Donnie; a brother, Steve Farmer and wife, Liz; four beautiful grandchildren, Shana McCauley, McKenzie Carle, Lindsay Payne, and Jacob Carle, many nieces, nephews, other friends, and extended family are left to cherish her memory. The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 20, 2018, at Teague Funeral Home from 1 until 2:30 p.m.
