Daniel Marsh Obituary

Daniel William Marsh Jr., 69, of Charlottesville, died Friday, Aug. 26, 2005, in a local hospital.

Born July 30, 1936, in Charlottesville, he was the son of Hattie Pugh Shiflett of Martinsville and the late Daniel W. Marsh.

Daniel was a painter with R. D. Wade and was active in the Rivanna Rifle Range.

Surviving him are his wife, Joyce Kin-law Marsh of Charlottesville; a step-son, Jay Phillip Kin-law of Charlottesville; a sister, Blanche Goodall and her husband, John, of Martinsville; two step-grandsons, Gerald Scott Kin-law and William Tyler Kinlaw, both of Charlottesville; an aunt, Beatrice Frazier of Crozet; and a very, very special niece, Tasha Goodall Ingra and her husband, Hampton, and their children, Monica Erin and Blaine Elliston of Martinsville.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 28, 2005, in Hill & Wood Funeral Home with the Rev. Sidney Craig officiating. Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home from 7 to 8 pm Saturday, Aug. 27, 2005.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 3042-D Berkmar Drive, Charlottesville, VA 22901.

Joyce, you may not know of me, but Danny and I went to Miller School together and were good friends. I am saddened to know of his demise. I didn't know he was ill until this past homecoming at Miller School. My brother Frank and I send our deepest and sincere sympathy to you and your family.
