Eric Reedy Obituary

Petty Officer First Class, Eric Henry Reedy, 41, of the United States Navy, formally of Madison County, Virginia, died Sunday, April 15, 2007, in San Diego, California.

He was born June 18, 1965, in Washington D.C., to Merchell Collins Reedy and the late Simpson Earl Reedy.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Merchell Collins Reedy, one brother, Thomas Wright, a sister, Vashti Reedy, and his devoted grandmother, Ethel Reedy, all of Washington D.C.; an aunt, Marsha Collins of Herndon, Virginia; three greataunts, Mrs. Gladys Talley of Washington, D.C., Mrs. Gertrude Walker and Mrs, Selena Brown of Paterson, New Jersey; two uncles, Keith Collins of Madison, Virginia, and Howard Collins (Brenda) of Corsicana, Texas; two greatgreat-aunts, Maggies Collins of Orange, Virginia, and Cornelia Kane of Philedelphia, Pennsylvania; a beloved niece, Jasmine Reedy of Washington D.C.; and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2007, at Nazareth Baptist Church of Orange, Virginia, with the Reverend Dr. Gene T. Lee officiating, Minister Isaiah Walker III, Eulogist. Interment will follow at Culpeper National Cemetery of Culpeper.

Viewing will be from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2007, at the funeral home.

Satchell's Funeral Service of Orange is in charge of arrangements.

I went to school with Eric in Madison and worked with him for a while in Charlottesville. He always made me laugh. I am so sorry for your loss and hope that loving memories sustain you all at this time. May God bless and keep you all.
