Jeanette Delois Green of Buck Island departed this life on Wednesday, April 8, 2015, in the comfort of her home surrounded by family, encircled in the arms of God. Born in Albemarle County, June 12, 1954. She was the daughter of the late Henry and Lois Green, Sr. Jeanette was preceded in death by five brothers, Daniel, Henry, James, George and Calvin Green; two sisters, Brenda Green and Matilda Carter.Jeanette was a graduate of Albemarle High School and was employed at University of Virginia Medical Center for 32 years. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Spring Hill Baptist Church, Buck Island, Va.In 2011 she retired from The University of Virginia Medical Center to take care of her great niece and nephew Kayla and Kevin Bowles. Jeanette was the sweatiest and most loveable person you'd ever met; she would do whatever circumstance called for, something we will never forget is her unforgettable laugh that filled the room. Jeanette enjoyed baking, playing cards, candy crush, soda crush and enjoyed working in the garden.She leaves to cherish her memory her only child, a daughter, Renee' Green, and her significant other, Anthony Vicks; two brothers, Harold Green and wife, Edith of Esmont, Va. and Walter Green of Charlottesville; one sister, Mary and husband, Andre Lewis of Charlottesville; one granddaughter, Janae' Miles of Buck Island; one uncle, Benjamin Smith of Buck Island; two aunts, Madeline Reaves of Charlottesville and Betty Smith of Buck Island; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; and three sister in laws, Gloria, Joyce and Shelia Green of Charlottesville.A Memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2015, at 2 p.m., at Union Run Baptist Church, Keswick, Va., with the Reverend Dr. Rickey E.
