Justin Kent Obituary

Justin M. Kent

October 4, 1980 - April 14, 2021

Our precious Justin was welcomed into the everlasting arms of our Lord and Savior on April 14, 2021. He was born on October 4, 1980, in Charlottesville, Virginia, to Wes and Cindy Kent.

In addition to his parents, Justin is survived by his wife, Jamie and their precious daughter, Emma Mae, the loves of his life; one sister, Emily Dickerson and her husband, Ryan; his paternal grandmother, Janice Kent; uncles, Ron Kent and his wife, Claire, Jimmy Shiflett andhis wife, Betty; aunt, JoAnn Anderson; in addition to his close-knit cherished cousins.

Justin was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Orvin and Neva Shiflett and his paternal grandfather, Harry Kent.

Justin graduated from UVA in 2003 and enjoyed a successful realtor career with Real Estate III. His love of helping clients led to many long-lasting friendships. One of his many gifts was connecting with everyone he met and he thrived on making people happy and laugh. His spirit of generosity was a gift to all.

He had a strong love for music, was a lifelong soccer player and an avid Green Bay Packers fan. He loved the beach, star gazing, time with family and friends and most of all making Emma laugh. His friendships were deep, long and rich beginning in kindergarten and continue today. He lived and exemplified the Golden Rule. He was a strong believer in his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. His deep love for his family, and especially his younger sister Emily, was evident every day.

The family will have an outside memorial service at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 23, 2021, at Chestnut Grove Baptist Church, 550 Buck Mountain Rd., Earlysville, VA 22936, with Pastor Lance King officiating. Please bring a chair and mask.

The Kent family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love and support from friends and family.

Memorial contributions may be made to St Judes, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, https://www.stjude.org/donate/donate-to-st-jude.html, American Bible Association, 101 N Independence Mall East FL8, Philadelphia, PA 19106-2155, https://share.americanbible.org and/or Wounded Warriors Project, 4899 Belfort Road Suite 300 Jacksonville, FL 32256, woundedwarriorproject.org.
