Kevin Arave Obituary
August 3, 1960 - March 30, 2025
Kevin Arave, 64, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2025. He was born on August 3, 1960, in Richmond, Virginia to Janis Novella Atwood Arave and the late Calvin Roy Arave.
He lived life to the fullest. Pursuing a wide range of passions that reflected his adventurous spirit, he was an avid scuba diver, skier, and kayaker. Kevin was also a commercial fisherman, dividing his time between the waters of Key West and Massachusetts. He was a talented musician with a deep appreciation for music.
Kevin is survived by his mother, Janis Novella Arave, his wife Nicole Diane Tolliver Arave; his children, Maxine and Anchor Arave, Schuyler Candelora; his granddaughter, Rubylou Pearl Arave; as well as his sisters, Georganne Arave and Jennifer Arave; and twelve nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Calvin Roy Arave; his brother, Andrew Joseph Arave; and his sister, Beckee Novella Conger.
A celebration of life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at 2844 Greenfield Rd., Afton, VA.
