Ky'juan Shallah Anthony Maurice Bell, 20, of Charlottesville, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 2, 2022, at the UVA Medical Center. Born in Charlottesville, on October 18, 2001, he is the son of Irene Bell (Carson Jones) of Charlottesville and Clifford Waller Jr. (Jessica Shifflett) of Fluvanna.
He is survived by his daughter, Oakalani Bell of Charlottesville; four brothers, James Bell, Gionnie Bell, Dennis Bell, Asahd Waller, and Shawn Shifflett, all of Charlottesville; two sisters, Jazaeri Waller and Jameesea Waller of Ruckersville; a paternal grandfather, Reverend Clifford Waller Sr., of Charlottesville; one aunt, Tytecha Holliday of Atlanta, Georgia; two uncles, Charlie Bell and Dante Waller, both of Charlottesville; and a special friend, Melba Martinez DeJesus of Charlottesville; and a host of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Diane Ivetta Bell; his maternal grandfather, Russell Anderson; his paternal grandmother, Delphine M. Waller; his paternal grandfather, Irvin Waller Sr.; his uncles, Delos Bell, Willard Williams, Franklin Bell, and Robert Winston; his aunts, Mary Sims, Carolyn Barber, and Mary Ali.
Ky'juan was a graduate of Charlottesville High School and was a two-way player for the Charlottesville Black Knights Football team. He also completed the Autobody program through CATEC, where he placed second in the state Automotive Refinishing competition. He was an avid motorcycle/car lover and passionate about helping his family and friends. He always wore an affectionate smile and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A wake will be held at J.F. Bell Funeral Home from 12 until 6 p.m. on Friday, May 6, 2022. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at Pilgrim Baptist Church, with the Reverend Clifford C. Waller Sr. officiating.

This is very hard for me because I didn't know him but I just met him the day that he was outside working on his motorcycle and we spoke to each other but he had the sweetest and kindest smile. My husband Eddie Jones stood outside talking to him and I went back inside. When I heard of Ky' Juan accident I broke down and cried. I just couldn't believe it. I had just met him. I will never forget his sweet smile and manners. I'm so sorry for your lost. My prayers are with you.
