I will always remember Larry and Nina Rothamel as Stalwarts of the Immanuel "Folk Service" in the late 1980s-1990s! I remember how they had young Daniel & Bryan in "Usher Training" from about the first Sunday they were present. (I think the boys alternated Sundays, with one boy plus Larry at his side coaching, handing out bulletins, greeting folks, and walking up the aisle together with the offering plates.
When Larry and Nina were present, you knew the service would go well, the ushers would know their job---and there were always warm smiles for everyone in attendance. There was a lengthy period of pastoral vacancy during those years, and sometimes we didn't know whether we'd have anyone in the pulpit that Sunday. But if the Rothamels were there, it was going to be OK!
Blessings to all Rothamel extended family members!

Our love to Bryan, Blair, Daniel and Kari. We are so sorry for your loss. We miss him so much. Larry and Nina were one of our favorite couples at Immanuel. We looked forward to seeing and talking with them. Beautiful, good, genuine people. Our church was so lucky to have them and we all are blessed to have known them. Our sincere condolences to all of his family. With love, Dawn and John

My deepest sympathies to Brian, Blair, and all family members and friends of Larry Rothamel. I didn't know him, I'm sorry to say, but I shared grand times with Brian at High Point University. It's not always true that the apple never falls far from the tree, but it surely applies to Brian and his father and mother. In my many conversations with Brian, he always praised his parents. God bless the Rothamels.
