Leon Byth Webb Jr.Leon Byth Webb Jr., of Charlottesville, Va., 39, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, June 30, 2016. Born on September 9, 1976, he was the son of the late Leon Webb and Mary Ann Moneymaker. In addition to his parents, Leon was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mary Jane Moneymaker; and great aunt and great uncle, Frances and Clayton Birckhead.He is survived by his great aunt, Marie Morris; second cousin, Virginia Herring; aunt and uncle, James J. Moneymaker Jr., and his wife, Marjorie Moneymaker; cousin, Katherine Moneymaker Woodson and her husband, Barry Alan Woodson II and their daughter, Olivia P. Woodson. Leon is also survived by many other cousins. He leaves behind special friends, Maureen, Joe and Ellen Schwarzenboeck, Grace Woody, Debby Vess Stowell, Dorothy and Will Watts, and many, many others.Leon attended Northside Christian School and was a graduate of National College (Virginia) Class of 2001 in Hospitality & Tourism Management. Leon was a dedicated member of the 4-H All Stars. Leon held various positions at the Residence Inn, Omni Hotel and Lowe's where he made several close friends. All who were blessed to have Leon in their lives know what a wonderful person he was and are not saddened by his passing but rather rejoice in knowing he is home.The family wishes to thank the staff of the MICU at UVAMedical Centerfor all of their loving and compassionate care of our loved one. We would also like to thank Trinity Mission Health & Rehab, MJH, DaVita Charlottesville Dialysis, Continuum Home Health Care, Encompass Home Health, East Rivanna Volunteer Fire Company, Charlottesville - Albemarle Rescue Squad, and the many doctors and nurses that cared for Leon over the years.A memorial service celebrating Leon's life will be held Friday, July 8, 2016, 6 p.m. at Mount Eagle Baptist Church, 2419 Buck Island Rd, Charlottesville, VA 22902 with Pastor David Rhoades officiating, and fellowship time for family and friends to share their stories and memories of Leon.
