Linda Hooper Palmer

November 25, 1949 - August 23, 2025

Linda Hooper Palmer, 75, of Scottsville, passed away on August 23, 2025, at Martha Jefferson Hospital after a brief illness.

Linda was native to Virginia, born November 25, 1949, to the late David and Thelma Hooper.

Linda dedicated more than 30 years to many jobs with General Electric. She loved spending time with her family, but she especially loved her time outside on the farm. Her family enjoyed the fruits of her labor through her delicious cooking.

She will be missed tremendously by all who loved her.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her brother, Ronald "Wayne" Hooper.

Linda leaves behind her husband of 41 years, Jeffrey "Duane" Palmer; daughters, Tanya Wood and her husband, Robert, Dana Bottin and her husband, Bob; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

There will be a time for viewing from 12 to 4 p.m. on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Thacker Brothers Funeral Home, 650 Valley St. Scottsville, VA 24590.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 29, 2025, at Scottsville Cemetery, 497 Hardware St. Scottsville, VA 24590 with Pastor David Allison presiding.
