Michael Coppola Obituary

Michael Jeffery Coppola

January 12, 1960 - November 17, 2024

Michael Jeffery "Jeff" Coppola, 64, of Keswick, VA, passed away unexpectedly on November 17, 2024. Jeff is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Mary Regina Coppola, and their son, Miller Addison Coppola. He is also survived by his parents Eugene and Virginia Coppola; his siblings Suzanne Borchers, Gregory Coppola, Stephan Coppola; and his sister-in-law Cynthia Miller along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family and friends who all loved him dearly. He is preceded in death by his parents-in-law Regina and Jack Miller; as well as his sisters-in-law Judy Miller and Jackie Miller. Anyone who had the privilege of knowing Jeff enjoyed his sense of humor, his larger than life personality and his loyalty to those he loved. He was a man of integrity, kindness and generosity, and he always left a lasting impact on everyone. Jeff was an accomplished businessperson, most recently as Senior Vice President, Head of Product Management & Voice of Customer at WorldStrides, Inc., an international educational travel and experience provider. Throughout his career, Jeff has mentored and developed many successful businesspeople, a number of which he continued close relationships. Earning both a Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Pennsylvania State University, Jeff was an avid fan of both the Nittany Lions and the Eagles. He is a member of Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity and has remained active in the brotherhood supporting local chapters. Jeff was an avid golfer who enjoyed playing with his many friends and achieved his dream of playing on the grandest of courses, St. Andrews of Scotland. He was also a music enthusiast with a taste English Synthpop and similar genres, including popular bands such as Depeche Mode, Pet Shop Boys, Tears for Fears, and U2. Jeff was a fierce advocate for those with Autism and related challenges, serving as a Board Member for the Virginia Institute for Autism.

A funeral mass will be held on December 13, 2024 at 3 p.m., at the Church of the Incarnation with a visitation at 2 p.m.

Jeff will be laid to rest at a later date in the Dulaney Memorial Gardens in Timonium MD.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his honor to VIA Centers for Neurodevelopment (https://viacenters.org/make-a-gift/).
