Florence Gracie Page, 72, of Gordonsville, Virginia, gained her eternal angel wings on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at the University of Virginia Medical Center. She was born a fraternal twin on February 2, 1946, to the late Ellen Twyman Minor and John Minor of Gordonsville Virginia. After her formal education in Louisa County Public Schools, she met and married the love of her life, James A. Page Sr., who preceded her in death. Florence became a mother to three beautiful daughters, whom she cherished and devoted her entire life to. She took great pleasure in being a homemaker for many years and was well known for her green thumb and love of all plants and flowers. Later in life she joined the workforce as a caregiver at Countryside Assisted Living in Gordonsville as well as Virginia Neuro Care Residential Rehab Center in Charlottesville Virginia, which she thoroughly enjoyed until she retired in 2006. She made many friends through her work and was loved by all she encountered because of her kind heart and giving nature. Florence was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Maupin and Ophelia Terrell; and three brothers, William, Richard, and Gilbert Twyman. Florence's legacy lives on through her three cherished daughters, MeRita Page of Charlottesville, Virginia, Monique Page of Gordonsville, Virginia, and Myra Page of Harrisonburg, Virginia; one sister, Lucille Brown and husband, Robert of Palmyra, Virginia; one brother, John Minor and wife, Lucille of Gordonsville Virginia, a brother-in-law, Daniel Maupin of Scottsville, Virginia; also seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. A home going celebration will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, May 19, 2018, at Wildon Grove Baptist Church, 6820 Wildon Grove Road, Gordonsville Virginia, with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday evening, May 18, 2018, from 7 until 8 p.m. at J. F. Bell Funeral Home. The family wishes to express their profound gratitude to Dr. Richard Hall and Dr. Sean Reed, and staff of the University of Virginia Medical Center for their excellent care, concern, and support for the past four years.
