William "Bill" Duke Peebles, Jr. passed away on Sunday March 1, 2015 in a local hospital. Bill was born in Charlottesville, Virginia on October 16, 1946 to the late William Duke Peebles, Sr. and Arlene Harlow Peebles.Bill proudly served his country in the United States Navy and was a member of Mount Eagle Baptist Church.He is survived by his wife, Edna L. Peebles, two daughters; Trudy P. McCullough and her husband Chuck of Woodbridge, Virginia and Dana Peebles of Gordonsville. Also surviving is a grandson, Charles William McCullough and a brother, Robert A. Peebles and his wife Linda of Richmond, Virginia.A memorial service for Bill will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday March 14, 2015 in Mount Eagle Baptist Church with the Rev. Sidney Craig officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.Donations in memory of Bill may be made to the Martha Jefferson Cancer Care Center, 500 Martha Jefferson Drive, Charlottesville, VA 22911.Condolences may be sent to the family at www.hillandwood.com
