Miles Edwin Crawford Porcaro, of Windermere, Fla. and Charlottesville, Va., son of Susan Porcaro Goings and the late Jeffrey Thomas Porcaro, was born on June 12, 1986, in Los Angeles, California. The second of three boys, he moved to Windermere, Florida with his mother and brothers, Christopher and Nico, after the passing of his beloved father in 1992. At the age of 10, he gained six more brothers and sisters upon his mother's marriage to Rick Goings, who was honored to become his adoptive father in 1998. Miles passed away at the age of 31 in Winter Park, Florida on October 4, 2017. He attended Windermere Elementary School, Lake Highland Preparatory School, and Olympia High School, where he was a member of the APEX Program for academically-advanced and gifted students. At an early age, Miles excelled in both visual and performing arts; he earned numerous accolades and awards for his drawings and top prize in his high school's Battle of the Bands contest. He was a current student at Rollins College. Miles was an exceptional musician, a talented artist, and a knowledgeable military historian. He was quick-witted with a wicked sense of humor and shared with his brothers a love of cinematic craft. He will be remembered for his big smile, warm hugs, unbounded love for others, infectious laughter, and refined taste in art and fashion. Miles possessed a unique ability to genuinely connect with people from all walks of life, especially those who often went unnoticed. He will forever be cherished by his parents; brothers, Christopher (Cindy) Porcaro, Nico Porcaro, Rett Goings, and Todd Goings; sisters, Amy Goings, Kristina Goings, and Anna (Eric) Goings Furr; grandparents, Carrie and Edwin Norris, Sr., and Eileen and Joe Porcaro; aunts and uncles, Linda (Ron) Lloyd, Edwin Norris, Jr., Steve Porcaro, Joleen (Steve) Duddy, and the late Mike (Cheryl) Porcaro; cousins, Carrie Hogaboom, Dillon Hogaboom, Heather Porcaro, Brittany Duddy, Brianne Porcaro, Chase Duddy, Sam Porcaro, Jeffrey Porcaro, Paige Duddy, Dominic Porcaro, and Michaela Porcaro; nephews, Porter and Holden; his dearest niece, Emma; and his Godson, Grant. He is also survived by countless friends. Miles was laid to rest with his father at Lincoln Terrace, Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills, in Los Angeles, Calif.
